DIRTcar(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 BMR team invaded the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri on May 22-24 for the 22nd Annual Lucas Oil ‘Show-Me 100.’ The three-day extravaganza kicked off on Thursday with the inaugural running of the ‘Cowboy Classic,’ which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil MLRA Series. After timing in sixteenth fastest in Group B during qualifying, Billy ran fourth in his loaded heat race before picking up the win in his B-Main. The Batesville, Arkansas star then retired early from the $5,045 to win tune-up race and was paid for twenty-seventh at the pay window following the 45-lapper.

On Friday evening, preliminary action for the ‘Show-Me 100’ was held and Billy started off his night by laying down the eighth quickest lap in Group B prior to grabbing the third and final transfer spot in his stacked heat race. The popular driver known as “Mr. Smooth” then rolled off from the outside of the eighth row in Saturday’s $30,000 to win ‘Show-Me 100’ and had his sights solely set on his fourth race title. Unfortunately, Billy once again exited the feature early and was relegated to a twenty-ninth place performance in the 100-lap, extra-distance affair. Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) will head to Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and Federated Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri this upcoming weekend (May 30-31) for two more Dirt Late Model special events. The ‘Bud 40′ for the UMP DIRTcar Super Late Models will take place on Friday at Granite City, while the MARS DIRTcar Series will sanction Saturday’s program at Pevely. Both weekend showdowns will pay $5,000 to the winner. Additional information concerning these races can be obtained by clicking on www.tricityspeedway.net and www.i55raceway.com.
