Salt Rock, West Virginia (11/07/14) – Eddie Carrier Jr. recently concluded a successful and memorable 2014 campaign behind the wheel of his Grover Motorsports #28 Optima Batteries/Rocket/Grover Racing Engine Super Late Model.

Three weeks ago Carrier Jr. put a wrap on the season with a second place finish in the 34th Annual Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth Raceway Park (Portsmouth, Ohio). With the finish he clinched a fifth place finish in the final Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) standings.

Eddie enjoyed a stellar year, which included his first career win at East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Florida) in February as well as a coveted $50,000 win in the annual North/South 100 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky) in early August. In 53 events entered in 2014, Carrier Jr. recorded 2 wins, 15 top-five-finishes, and 34 top-ten-finishes.

“What an exciting year we had in 2014,” said Carrier Jr. with a big smile. “We learned so much about our Rocket cars this year, and I feel like we improved by leaps and bounds after a lot of struggles on the road in 2013. I really feel like we can be a contender for the championship with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series next year.”

Eddie’s great season was largely made possible by support from several great companies and supporters.

“Without the amazing support from folks like Grover Motorsports, OPTIMA Batteries, and dozens of other great people, there is no way that I could’ve accomplished what I did,” Eddie noted. “From the very bottom of my heart I have to thank all of my great sponsors, supporters, and fans. Hopefully I can give them many more lasting memories in 2015!”
