Canton, Georgia (01/15/15) – Scott Groves Racing has several exciting announcements for the upcoming 2015 racing season.

First and foremost the team would like to announce that ownership of the race team has been taken over by the “Friends of the Dream” 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable foundation. Friends of the Dream is a charitable foundation with the sole purpose of bringing awareness and funding to various children’s charities through the medium of motorsports. To that end the FOTD foundation has taken over ownership of the Scott Groves Racing team and will utilize the team to reach its charitable goal of helping deserving sick and underprivileged children.

Scott Groves, team manager and driver of the Friends of the Dream #311 Warrior, is very excited about the new direction the team is taking.

“It has always been my dream and my vision to utilize the race team to help others. With this new partnership we can now offer our marketing partners more than just sponsoring a race team. Our marketing partners can now be a part of something really special and help deserving children at the same time! It’s truly a “win/win situation” for everyone involved, especially the children!”

Also of note, the newly formed team is proud to announce the addition of several new team partners for 2015 starting with Georgia Boot. Based in Nelsonville, Ohio, and most famously known for their support of the Clint Bowyer Racing team (and driver Steve Francis), Georgia Boot has joined the Friends of the Dream racing team in support of their charitable vision. Groves says that the partnership just made sense.

“I worked closely with Georgia Boot Brand Manager, Seann Anderson to put something together that made sense. Obviously Georgia Boot’s main focus is with the Clint Bowyer Racing team, but the opportunity to support the FOTD foundation’s charitable goals was something they wanted to be a part of and we are very thankful for their support!” stated Groves. Groves also noted that having a well-known national company associated with the team also lends credibility to what they are trying to accomplish.

Two additional new product partners joining the Friends of the Dream racing team are Schaeffer’s Oil by Heather Newsome and All Out Performance and Racing. Groves says that product sponsors are the life blood of any team.

“Having Schaeffer’s Oil and All Out Performance join the team are crucial! Any team that wants to race as much as we do absolutely has to have key alliances with product sponsors. We are so grateful for the support that Schaffer’s and All Out Performance is providing to our team!”
