Big Ten Series Super & Pro Late Models Set For Opening Week

Macon SpeedwayMacon Payout & Tire Rule Announced

MACON, Ill. — The Big Ten Series openers for Super Late Models and Pro Late Models are set for this weekend after a tight point battle in Big Ten Super action one year ago.  2015 will mark the first season of Big Ten Pro Late Model action.

For the Supers, action will take place at Jacksonville Speedway on Friday night, May 8 and at Macon Speedway on Saturday night, May 9.  For the Pros, they will be competing in a standalone event on Friday night at Lincoln and running the second event of their schedule on Saturday at Macon with the Supers.

$1,200 will be up for grabs to the winner in Saturday night’s event at Macon with $125 to start.  The tire rule will be LM40 only for both rear tires, while front tires can be LM20 or LM40.

In addition to races at Jacksonville and Macon, the Super Late Models will also run at Belle-Clair and Quincy during the course of the year.  For the Pros, events are scheduled this year at Lincoln, Macon, and Jacksonville.

The champion in the Super class takes home $1,500 from the $4,000 points fund. In the Pros, the champion will take home $1,000 from the $3,000 point fund.
