Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series Announces Addition to 2016 Schedule

Glasgow, KY-March 5, 2016- Officials with the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series are pleased to announce an additional event to its 2016 racing schedule, making a total of thirteen events on the docket.

The tour will now make its first-ever visit to Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, IN on Saturday October 8 as a part of the track’s season finale Harvest Cup event that will also feature the MSCS Sprints and MMSA Mini-Sprints. The event will be 30 laps in distance and pay $1,500 to win and $200 to start for the Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series.

The series will contest its 2016 schedule of events at nine different racing venues over the course of the 2016 racing season, with appearances at tracks in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. The 2016 campaign will see competitors race for over $43,500 to win in A-Main winner’s purses.

The 2016 racing season kicks off on Friday April 22 at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, IN with the 3rd Annual J.B. Robinson Memorial event that will be 30 laps in distance and see the winner take home $2,000, while the event will pay $200 to start. Devin Gilpin of Columbus, IN (2014) and Kent Robinson of Bloomington, IN (2015) are previous winners of this event.

The Summit Racing Equipment American Modified Series presents UMP DirtCar Modified sanctioned dirt track entertainment at racing venues throughout Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Tennessee.
