Lincoln IL Speedway is the site for the Tony Stewart owned Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Friday, May 20. Fans, though, will not be overlooking the highly popular Midwest Technical Institute UMP Modified division, which will be racing as well. Many will be watching to see if Kewanee, IL driver, Ray Bollinger, can keep his unbeaten streak alive. Others will have their eyes glued to NASCAR personality, Kenny Wallace, as he tries to end Bollinger’s streak at three.

Bollinger, a veteran driver who pilots a bright yellow #77, has had plenty of Lincoln Speedway success in the past but his start this year is unmatched. Three Modified races and three Modified victories have pushed Bollinger into a 14 point lead over many time track champion, Brian Lynn. Lynn, from Mason City, IL, is another threat to end the Bollinger streak tomorrow night.

For Wallace, it will be his first visit to Lincoln this season. The St. Louis, MO driver is coming off of a wild barrel roll crash at Quincy Raceway last Sunday, where a wheel came off resulting in a flip and fire. Fortunately, the nine-time NASCAR Xfinity Series event winner and former series runner-up was okay and he’ll be working real hard to turn his luck around tomorrow night.

While Bollinger, Wallace, and Lynn will be the favorites in the Modified class, don’t count out other front-runners this season like Curt Rhodes, Alan Crowder, Shawn Vaughn, Austin Carron, and Allen Weisser. They are among the top drivers in this year’s standings at the 1/4-mile track located at the Logan County Fairgrounds.

In addition to the Tony Stewart Arctic Cat All Star Circuit Of Champion Sprint cars and Modifieds will be the UMP Pro Late Models and POWRi/Illini D-ii Midgets Presented By Nutech Seed.

Pits will open at 3:00, grandstands at 4:00, sprint car hotlaps are at 5:45 with qualifying to follow, and racing action will take the green at 7:00. Grandstand admission is $30 for adults with kids 11 and under free. Pit admission is just $5 more at $35.

Lincoln Speedway is located at the Logan County Fairgrounds, in Lincoln, IL. The physical address is 1408 Short 11th St., Lincoln, IL 62656. Lincoln Speedway races a number of UMP classes as well as specials on a near bi-weekly schedule of Friday and Sunday evenings.
