Shawn Langdon wins his first 2-wide victory. He previously won a 4-wide at Charlotte Raceway. Before switching to Funny Car, he previously race NHRA Top Fuel where he had 14 career victories.

JR Todd knocked out one of the hottest racer in NHRA, John Force. The race was easily won with Todd’s 3.986 ET 326.56 MPH vs Force’s 4.870 ET / 169.55 MPH .
“You have to win in late rounds to defend the championship,” said Todd, 2018 Funny Car champion.
In an unbelievable race, Shawn Langdon smoked the tires at the start and looked like a for sure loss, but he was able to get traction and recover to beat Jim Campbell.
“That was incredible,” said Langdon. “I don’t know if I have ever won like that one.”
Finally Robert Height won beating John Capps.

1st Round
Jim Campbell who qualified 15th place this weekend pulled off a big upset beating Matt Hagen. Both cars had troubles running down the track but it was Campbell who was able squeeze out the win.
The John Force Team of John Force and Robert Hight had no troubles and easily advanced to the next round.
Tim Wilkerson who blew up his car in the final round of weekend qualifying Saturday, was able right the ship with low round ET of the round 3.915 at 325.14 mph.
Shawn Langdon used a holeshot to beat Tommy John Jr to advance to the next round.
Current points leader Jack Beckman was upset by last year season champ JR Todd.

Antron Brown had a rough weekend at WWT Raceway. Currently in fourth in points in the season countdown. He qualified 11th and lost in the first round to Leas Prictchett.
Mike Salinas, the weekend’s top qualifier in Top Fuel advanced with a win over Cameron Ferre.

Hines gets a big ho9leshot and starts pulling away. Smith starts to make up a little ground after half track but Hines hangs on and takes the win.
