WAR To Be Staged In 2012

WAR - Non Wing Sprint SeriesSedalia, MO(January 2, 2012)- With non-winged sprint car racing becoming more popular in Missouri, sprint car drivers Tony Crank and Andy Korte have partnered up to found Wingless Auto Racing.  WAR will be a non-winged traveling series that will have its inaugural season in 2012 with about fifteen shows at tracks throughout Missouri and Kansas.

Crank, who has wheeled a sprint car for more than a decade, will serve as series promoter and handle the day to day operations.

Korte, who has many years of experience as both a driver and a crew chief, will serve as the director of competition.

WAR has also announced that Scotty Cook will serve as the series announcer.  Cook is well known around the Midwest including announcing for the Winged Outlaw Warriors, Lake Ozark Speedway, and the ASCS National series for the Racin Boys.
