Owensboro, KY
The Bluegrass Bash 6 will take to the track this Saturday (April 14th) at Cedar Ridge Speedway in Morgantown, KY.
After sitting idle since 2008, the Bash will come to life once again on a somewhat smaller scale. This years event will feature a $2,000 to win 30 lap feature and $100 to start. “With money being tight for everyone, and major sponsorship next to impossible to find, we were forced to downsize the Bash for this season” event founder and promoter Billy Egeler stated. “The purse may be smaller but we are going to continue with the format of group qualifying, group heats, B main and the Bluegrass Bash 6” he added.
The event has always been held in March in years past however, trying to predict the weather has always been a challenge. The weather for this weekends Bluegrass Bash 6 is calling for sunny skies with highs in the lower 70’s and lows in the mid 50’s which will prove to be awesome weather for racing.
Gates will open for the Bash at 12pm cst on Saturday with hot laps slated for 3pm, group qualifying at 4pm and racing at approx. 5pm. General admission for the event will be $10.00 for adults and children under 12 free. Pit admission will be $30.00 and the Modifieds will have a $25.00 entry fee.
Also on the race card for Saturday will be the UMP Limited Modifieds paying $600 to win (Ceder Ridge rules apply) and the UMP Mini Stocks paying $300 to win (Cedar Ridge rules apply)
