Steve Lance, Jr. claims PCRA win at Lincoln Speedway!

PCRALINCOLN, Ill. (June 1) — Staying undefeated in every career Pro Crate Racers of America action, Steve Lance Jr. of Cuba, Ill., raced to victory Friday at Lincoln Speedway.

Lance, who started fourth, took the lead from polesitter Bobby Dauderman of Alhambra, Ill., on the 15th lap and led the rest of the quarter for a $1,000 payday at the quarter-mile oval.

Dauderman, who won three of four series events heading into the race, settled for second with Mark Oller of Highland, Ill., starting and finishing third. Nick Bauman of New Berlin, Ill., advanced four spots to finish fourth despite losing power steering on the 17th lap.

Two cautions slowed the action for Brad Willis Jr. on the sixth lap and a four-car incident on the seventh lap for Kolby Vandenbergh, Braden Johnson, Jose Parga and

Caution on lap 6 for the 6w of Brad Willis Jr., and then on lap 7 for an incident involving Vandenbergh, Johnson, Parga and McMahon.

Twenty-six cars entered the event, by Miles Moos of Hartsburg, Ill., wasn’t allowed to compete after officials found that his block number didn’t match a block number for a 604 crate motor (it was a 602 block with 604 heads).
