Lucas Oil Late Model Series(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his famed #21 team invaded the venerable Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky on August 10-11 for the 30th edition of the ‘North/South 100.’ The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again presided over the storied race and a whopping $50,000 was up for grabs to the victor. On Friday night, Billy started his weekend by posting the eleventh fastest lap in Group B during qualifying, which locked him into the second row of one of the six heat races on Saturday.

In front of a jammed-packed, standing room only crowd on Saturday, Billy finished fourth in his loaded heat race prior to winning his B-Main. After starting the 100-lap ‘North/South 100’ from the outside of the tenth row, the Batesville, Arkansas ace raced hard early, but eventually pulled into the infield when passing became very difficult due to the one-lane track conditions. Billy was credited with a twenty-third place performance in this year’s version of the ‘North/South 100.’ Full results can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

Up next for the Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will be a short trek to the Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas this weekend (August 17-18) for the 20th Annual ‘Comp Cams Topless 100.’ The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the crown jewel topless event, which boasts a hefty $40,000 top prize. Qualifying and heat race action will take place on Friday night, while the consolation races and the 100-lap ‘Topless 100’ are scheduled for Saturday evening. Billy is a four-time winner of the ‘Topless 100,’ as he took home the checkers back in 2005, 2002, 1997, and 1995. Additional information can be obtained by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.
