(SOLON SPRINGS, WISCONSIN) Brady Smith Racing, who wrapped up their 2013 campaign a little over a month ago with a strong top ten finish in the ‘Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals’ at the hallowed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, is already making plans for their 2014 season. Brady Smith announced today that he will make the switch from Bloomquist Race Cars to Rocket Chassis for the upcoming ’14 racing season. Brady will take delivery of the new Rocket cars next week and his business – Brady Smith Race Cars (BSRC) – will become a dealer for the popular Shinnston, West Virginia chassis builder.

“I am very excited to announce our move to Rocket cars for next year,” quoted Brady in a telephone conversation earlier today. “We had a fair amount of success with our Bloomquist cars over the past several seasons, but we made the decision to sell them after Knoxville and move forward with Rockets. The business potential of being a Rocket dealer is definitely appealing because their cars work so well in varied conditions at tracks across the country. Mark (Richards) and Steve (Baker), as well as everyone at Rocket, have been great to work with so far and I look forward to a great season with them in 2014.”

In addition to the switch to Rocket Chassis for next year, Brady also revealed today that his team will be adding a couple of Cornett Engines to their arsenal. The Solon Springs, Wisconsin ace will continue to utilize powerplants from Vic Hill Race Engines as well. Brady Smith Racing is also seeking a couple of qualified crew members to add to the team this off-season. If you are interested in a position with the #2 team, please send your resume and qualifications to bradysmith@centurytel.net.

With most of the series and track schedules still yet to be released for 2014, Brady is unsure of his racing plans for next year at this time. However, Brady will most likely start out during “Speedweeks 2014” at the Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida and the Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. He will scour over schedules as the off-season progresses and will eventually post his own tentative schedule on his official website, which is located online at www.BradySmithRacing.com.
