MARS DIRTcar Series(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) Brian Shirley, of Chatham, Illinois, picked up his first win with Riggs Motorsports on Saturday evening, March 8 in the 10th Annual ‘Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic’ at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee! Brian won his heat race in preliminary action and was out front on lap nine of the A-Main when a rain shower halted the 40-lapper. The decision was made by track and MARS DIRTcar Series officials to postpone the remainder of the special event and the field was paid half of the advertised purse due to the shortened race. The driver known as “Squirrel” claimed the $2,500 victory over Ryan Unzicker, Riley Hickman, Jesse Stovall, and Tony Jackson, Jr.!

Teammate Jason Riggs was also in action on Saturday at Clarksville, as he ran fourth in his stacked heat race prior to notching a tenth place finish in the rain-shortened feature event. On Friday night, both Riggs Motorsports drivers also competed for the $3,000 paycheck in the ‘Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic’ weekend opener. Brian won his heat race before finishing a strong runner-up in the 20-lap A-Main behind only victor Riley Hickman. Jason, who hails from Harrisburg, Illinois, also won his heat race and eventually netted an impressive fourth place outing in the MARS DIRTcar Series main event. Full results from the crazy weekend at Clarksville Speedway can be viewed online at www.clarksvillespeedway.com.

With Brian Shirley making the decision not to return to Clarksville for this Saturday’s completion of the ‘Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic,’ Jason Riggs will be the lone Riggs Motorsports driver in attendance in the Volunteer State. The final 31 circuits will be held this Saturday, March 15 and returning drivers will compete for the other half of the purse not distributed last Saturday evening. In addition to the $2,500 payday on the line in the rain-postponed race, Jason will enter a regular weekly UMP DIRTcar Super Late Model program that will also be held this Saturday at Clarksville Speedway.
