Lucas Oil Late Model Series(BRASSTOWN, NORTH CAROLINA) Ray Cook and the MasterSbilt House Car team invaded the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on Saturday, March 22 for the 17th edition of the ‘Indiana Icebreaker.’ The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series once again sanctioned the early-season special, which drew 45 competitors to the 1/4-mile fairgrounds complex. Ray started off his evening by laying down the sixth fastest lap in Group B during time trials prior to finishing second in his stacked heat race behind only prelim victor Earl Pearson, Jr.

When the feature grid went green in front of the standing-room-only crowd, Ray started the $10,000 to win main event from the outside of the fourth row. The Brasstown, North Carolina ace battled inside of the top ten throughout the caution-free 50-lapper and eventually brought his Optima Batteries / Seubert Calf Ranches / Superior Cleaning / Tommy Pope Construction / A+ Moving and Storage #53 MasterSbilt machine home in the ninth position. With the top ten effort, Ray now finds himself up to sixth in the latest Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings. While the #53 racecars will sit idle this upcoming weekend (March 28-29), the MasterSbilt House Car team will be busy prepping their equipment for a huge Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series tripleheader in the states of Mississippi, Louisiana, and Oklahoma from April 4-6. A trio of $10,000 top prizes will be on the line to kick off the month of April at Jackson Motor Speedway in Jackson, Mississippi (Friday), Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana (Saturday), and Outlaw Motorsports Park in Muskogee, Oklahoma (Sunday).
