TCS Logo - flags(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team made the short trek to LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois on May 16-17 for the two-day ‘Spring Shootout,’ which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. Following a rain-out of Friday’s $10,000 to win program, a similar show was held on Saturday and went off without any weather issues at all.

Dennis grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race, which earned him the inside of the seventh row starting position for the 50-lap feature event. The Carpentersville, Illinois standout was then able to move past four competitors during the ‘Spring Shootout’ to claim a solid ninth place effort. Dennis still sits tenth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings following the rain-shortened weekend at LaSalle. Full results can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

Dennis Erb Racing will now turn their attention to one of the biggest racing weekends of the year, as they have four action-packed days ahead of them in the states of Missouri and Illinois from May 22-25. Things will kick-off tonight at the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri with a $5,045 to win Lucas Oil MLRA Series event, which leads into Friday and Saturday’s 22nd Annual ‘Show-Me 100.’ Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying and heat races will take place at Wheatland on Friday night, while consolation races and the 100-lap main event are slated for Saturday evening. The winner of the crown jewel extravaganza will once again receive $30,000 for their efforts, while each feature starter will receive at least $1,500.

Following the intense three days at Lucas Oil Speedway, the Memorial Day holiday weekend will wrap up for the #28 team on Sunday, May 25 at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. The annual running of the ‘Budweiser 50’ will take place at the St. Louis area facility and a $10,000 top prize will be on the line for the UMP Super Late Models. In 2013, Dennis was a threat to win at both Wheatland and Granite City, as he finished third in the ‘Show-Me 100’ and fifth in the ‘Budweiser 50.’ Additional information on the high-profile races at both venues can be located online at www.lucasoilspeedway.com and www.tricityspeedway.net.
