Dennis-Erb-Jr(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing recently completed a busy two-and-a-half week stretch of racing action in Georgia and Florida to start their 2015 racing season. Dennis Erb, Jr. wound up competing in thirteen Super Late Model specials at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia, East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida, and Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida from February 6-21. The highlight of Dennis’ trip was his $5,000 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series triumph during the ‘Winternationals’ at East Bay Raceway Park on Tuesday, February 10.

Dennis swept the night’s racing activities at the “Clay by the Bay,” as he set Fast Time of 42 entrants during Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying prior to scoring a heat race victory. After an early back-and-forth duel with Billy Moyer in the 25-lapper, Dennis took the lead for good on lap ten and went on to bag the $5,000 payday ahead of Earl Pearson, Jr., Billy Moyer, Bobby Pierce, and Brandon Sheppard!

The Carpentersville, Illinois ace recorded two additional Top Ten performances during his “Speedweeks 2015” journey. On Saturday, February 7 at Golden Isles Speedway, Dennis blasted past eight competitors during the $10,000 to win televised race en route to a solid sixth place showing behind only winner Jonathan Davenport, Earl Pearson, Jr., Brandon Sheppard, Scott Bloomquist, and Ross Bailes. At Volusia Speedway Park on Monday, February 16, Dennis took the win in his consolation event before picking off nine cars during the 30-lap, $7,000 to win UMP headliner on his way to a steady ninth place effort. Next up for the #28 team – weather pending – will be the annual running of the ‘Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic’ at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee on March 6-7. The MARS DIRTcar Series will preside over a pair of special events in the Volunteer State next weekend. A $3,000 top prize will be on the line next Friday evening, while a $5,000 winner’s check awaits the victor of Saturday’s weekend finale.
