DIRTcar Summer Nationals(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS) The Riggs Motorsports team hit the road with the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Series from July 1-6 with events in the states of Indiana and Illinois. Brian Shirley, of Chatham, Illinois, entered five “Hell Tour” events during that span and was able to rack up a trio of Top Five performances, as well as an additional Top Ten effort. Brian finished fourth in a $10,000 to win feature on Friday night at Fayette County Speedway in Brownstown, Illinois, third in a similar $10,000 to win show on Saturday evening at Highland Speedway in Highland, Illinois, and third again in a $5,000 to win shootout on Monday at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois.

Teammate Jason Riggs entered three UMP Summer Nationals showdowns during the busy week and was able to transfer into all three main events. His best run was an eleventh place showing in the 50-lapper last Saturday at Highland Speedway. You can read a race-by-race recap of how the Riggs Motorsports drivers fared at Daugherty (IN) Speedway, LaSalle (IL) Speedway, Fayette County (IL) Speedway, Highland (IL) Speedway, Tri-State (IN) Speedway, and Lincoln (IL) Speedway by pointing your web browser to www.RiggsMotorsports.com.

While Jason Riggs is scheduled to enjoy the upcoming weekend away from the racetrack, Brian Shirley will be busy once again from July 9-12. Things will kick off with two more UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals battles on Thursday night at Macon Speedway in Macon, Illinois ($5,000 to win) and on Friday evening at Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois ($10,000 to win). The #3s team will then venture west to the state-of-the-art Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series extravaganzas.

The CMH ‘Diamond Nationals,’ which pays $10,000 to the winner will be held at Wheatland on Saturday, while the rain-postponed $30,000 to win Lucas Oil ‘Show-Me 100’ is scheduled for Sunday. Brian will start the 100-lap crown jewel main event from the outside of the second row thanks to a heat race triumph back in late May. The renowned Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand to film both Wheatland events for air on multiple television networks later in 2015. More information on all of these races can be found online at www.thehelltour.com and www.lucasdirt.com.
