Officials Now Prepare For Thursday’s Herald & Review 100
Light rainfall moved into the Macon, IL area just before noon on Saturday, July 2. That, combined with a forecast for more rain and an unfavorable radar, forced cancelation of the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget race. On schedule with the Midgets were the POWRi Micros, Big Ten Street Stocks, Pro Late Models, and Hornets. Officials now prepare for this coming Thursday’s Herald & Review 100 for the UMP Summer Nationals Hell Tour.
The Thursday, July 7th event will be the 36th annual Herald & Review 100 for the tour that runs 29 events in one month’s time. Fans can expect some of the top dirt Late Model drivers across the nation to attend going for the top prize and prestige that comes with winning this historic event. The Summit National Modified tour, running a similar schedule as the Hell Tour, will be on hand as well in addition to the UMP B-Mods.
Pit gates will open at 3:00, grandstands at 4:00, hotlaps begin at 6:00, qualifying will take place around 6:30, and racing action will take the green at 7:00. Grandstand admission is $25 for adults and $5 for kids 11 and under.
