(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing made their way to the states of Missouri and Iowa from June 12-14 to compete in the first three Lucas Oil MLRA Series showdowns of the 2020 racing season. The triple shot kicked off last Friday night with a $3,000 to win program at Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Missouri. Dennis Erb, Jr. posted the eleventh quickest lap in Group B during the qualifying session and later grabbed the fourth transfer spot through his stacked heat race. He then moved past six competitors during the 40-lap headliner en route to a steady eighth place performance in the Show-Me State.

A pair of $5,000 top prizes were then on the line at Maquoketa Speedway in Maquoketa, Iowa and West Liberty Raceway in West Liberty, Iowa. On Saturday evening at Maquoketa, Dennis placed second in his heat race prior to blasting past four racecars during the 40-lapper on his way to an impressive third place podium showing behind only race winner Chris Simpson and runner-up Bobby Pierce. At West Liberty on Sunday afternoon, Dennis unfortunately failed to transfer into the 30-lap feature after running seventh in his heat race and fourth in his B-Main on the one-lane racing surface. Complete results from the tripleheader weekend can be accessed online at www.mlraracing.com.

The #28 team will jump back on the World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series tour this weekend (June 19-20) at the ultra-fast Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. The fast and furious action will get underway at “The Gap” later tonight, as a $10,000 winner’s check will be up for grabs. Another full $10,000 to win program on Saturday evening will close out the double-dip in the Volunteer State. Dennis comes into Volunteer Speedway seventh in the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings. Additional information on these races can be viewed by clicking on www.woolms.com.
