Scott Dixon mastered his race car’s fuel management to win for the second time at World Wide Technology Raceway. The win is 55th overall in INDYCAR career.

Dixon made only three pits stops while the rest of the field needed four pit stops to complete the race.
The fuel strategy impressed his competitors including second place finisher, Pato O’Ward who finished 22 seconds behind.
“It is Scott Dixon being Scott Dixon,” said O’Ward.

During the race, O’Ward’s crew chief told O’Ward that Dixon was trying to make the race in only three stops.
“The guy is going to do it,” said O’Ward empathically to his crew chief on the radio.
David Malukas came in third place was also in amazement of Dixon’ feat.
“I don’t know how he does it,” said Malukas.
For O’Ward and Malukas, they expressed appreciation of Dixon’s racing experience and accomplishments.
“Dixon is great and he is going to be good until he retires,” said O’Ward.
“I hope not,” said Malukas.
