Concludes 2023 Season this Saturday at Lucas Oil SpeedwaySEARCY, Ark. (10/24/23) – The state of Louisiana has been good to Tyler Stevens thus far into his young Super Late Model career and Saturday night was no exception as he streaked to the $10,000 COMP Cams Super Dirt Series victory in the Spooky 50 finale at Super Bee Speedway with his Keith Hammett Trucking & Construction LLC / James A. Rogers Excavating No. 2 Southern Belle / SFP Performance Systems / Longhorn by Wells Motorsports / Mod Co Racing Engine Super Late Model.Stevens’ triumph was his second of the season and marked his fourth-career CCSDS win. In fact, all of his CCSDS triumphs have come in the state of Louisiana. The Arkansas racer battled past fellow Natural State competitor amongst lapped traffic to snare the lead and ultimately the win.“Man it got nerve-wracking (racing lapped traffic) for sure,” Stevens said. “I got there and we was kinda all about the same speed. I got there and we were trying to be patient, I was on soft tires, so I was trying to take care of it. (We) had that one lapped car make a bobble and I was just in the right place at the right time, got to the lead and got the win. This new Longhorn Race Car is a bad boy, and we look forward to going after one more big check this weekend before we begin prep for the Wild West Shootout in January.”Tyler Stevens joined the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) on Friday and Saturday as the tour wrapped up its 2023 campaign with the 30th annual Spooky 50 at Super Bee Speedway (Chatham, Louisiana). The trip paid dividends when Stevens took the $10,000 victory in the event finale on the quarter-mile oval.

Stevens was one of 27 CCSDS Super Late Model drivers seeking the five-figure payout on Saturday as the two-day show concluded. After finishing as runner-up in his heat race, he rolled off fourth in the 50-lap feature. In the main event, Stevens passed Kyle Beard in lapped traffic to take over the top spot on the 22nd circuit and showed the way for the remainder of the race.

Stevens claimed his first CCSDS victory of 2023, and fourth of his career, by reaching the checkered flag 1.439 seconds in front of Beard. Dillon McCowan rounded out the podium, while Billy Moyer Sr. came home fourth and Tanner Kellick took the fifth spot.

The win was Stevens’ second overall this season.

Stevens also had a solid night during the event opener on Friday, which saw 25 Super Late Models compete for a $5,000 top prize. He turned in a third-place result in his heat race and started the 40-lap A-Main from the seventh position. He picked up one spot during the race to come home sixth.
