Lucas Oil Late Model SeriesLongview, Texas (03/29/12) – While many times Morgan Bagley has to travel several hours to compete with the best drivers in the nation, this weekend they will make their way into his neck of the woods as he takes his #14m P&W Sales/Rocket By R.E. Consulting/Clements Super Late Model into battle in a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events.

So far this year Morgan has driven as far as Arizona and Florida to challenge the best in the nation. This weekend he will not have to venture far at all as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) invades Mississippi and Texas for a pair of $10,000-to-win events. While Morgan looks forward to both events at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) and Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) he especially looks forward to the Lone Star event.

“Growing up my family ran Lone Star, and I turned a lot of laps at that place as a kid driving the water truck. It’s a big deal anytime to race with the caliber of competitors on the Lucas tour, but it’s a real big deal when they are in your backyard. To get a big win against these guys this weekend would be a career achievement,” comments Bagley.

The LOLMDS tour will be at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) on Friday night before moving onto Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Saturday night. For more information on the events, please visit www.LucasDirt.com .

Last weekend the team entered a pair of COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) events in Louisiana and Arkansas. The team traveled to USA Speedway (Sterlington, Louisiana) on Friday night for a $2,000-to-win program, which served as the season opener for the tour. Twenty-seven cars entered the event, and Morgan battled the setup to a fifth place finish in his heat race, which left him running a b-main. He would race his way to a second place finish in his b-main to earn the 18th starting spot for the 35 lap main event. With one-lane conditions present for the feature, Bagley would retire early from the event to a 20th place finish.

Saturday night found Morgan in action at I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) in a $2,000-to-winevent at the 1/4 mile oval. With a talent-laden field of 32 entries registered for action Morgan won the fourth heat race from the second, starting spot to lock into the third starting spot for the main event. On a racy, surface Bagley would battle in the top five for the duration of the event before ultimately crossing the finish line in the third position behind race winner, Billy Moyer, and Billy Moyer Jr. Full results from both nights are available at www.COMPDirt.com.

Morgan Bagley would like to thank all of his sponsors, which include P&W Sales (Oil Field Manufacturers Rep.), MSI (Pumps, Valves, & Manifolds), Mr. Frank Motorsports, The Directional Drilling Company, Wehrs Machine, Southern Transport, Outerwears Pre-Filters, Bulldog Rear Ends, 360 Motorsports, Sunoco Race Fuels, ShowTime Signs, D&T Racing, J&J Motorsports, Indy Screen Print, Rocket by R.E.
