Batesville Motor Speedway(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team racked up their seventh feature win of the 2012 campaign on Friday night, April 6 at the Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma! Billy Moyer ran second in his heat race on the big 1/2-mile and later rolled off from the outside of the third row in the ‘Charlie Fulton Memorial.’ During the course of the MARS DIRTcar Series-sanctioned event, Billy paced the field on a couple of different occasions, eventually grabbing the top spot for good on lap 34.

The Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer led the remainder of the distance in the 55-lapper to earn the $5,555.55 payday over Jesse Stovall, Wendell Wallace, Tony Jackson, Jr., and David Turner. Billy also received $727.50 in lap money to bring his total for the evening to $6,283.05. Additional information on the ‘Charlie Fulton Memorial’ can be viewed online at www.marsracingseries.com.

“Our hot rod rolled around Muskogee pretty good last week,” exclaimed Moyer last night via telephone. “We had a little bit of a motor issue during the feature, but the car performed flawlessly all night. I guess they told me it had been fourteen years since I won there last, so it was great to roll in there against some good competition and get the win.”

Billy and the #21 team have a pair of Dirt Late Model events on their radar for the upcoming April 13-14 weekend. On Friday evening, the nearby Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas will play host to a $2,000 to win Comp Cams Super Dirt Series tilt. The dirt-slinging action will quickly shift to the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Saturday night for the inaugural $8,000 to win ‘Spring Throw Down.’ You can learn more about both races this weekend by logging onto www.compdirt.com and www.magnoliadirt.com.
