Action gets back underway Saturday night July 14 at the Midway Speedway as the championship battles keep rolling,
Action will feature the outstanding competition of the Factory Stocks, B Modifieds,Pure Stocks,Midwest Modifieds and Street Stocks.
Former Factory Stock champion Tim Petty from Niangua holds a very slim 3 point lead over Osage Beach driver Bob Gustin another former champion. Brandon Waters of Lynchburg goes into this weeks action only 34 points out of the top position. Mark Simon and Brian Schutt complete the top 5 as it has become the head-line feature each week.
Halfway’s Ted Ballinger despite having problems last week and only 1 feature win maintains a 34 point margin over DeWayne Hobbs in the B Modified class while Speedway regular Bill Schaar of St Robert is only 2 points behind Hobbs. Brian Myers has climbed into 4th place and Tim Ballinger rounds out the top 5. Every week it seems as if another new winner takes the checkered flag for this open-wheeled excitement every week.
Defending Pure Stock champion Matt Young of Lebanon took advantage of point leader Rob White not at the track and moved back into the nuber 1 spot in the standings. Young has moved 19 points in the lead while Jim Alexstates, last weeks winner and Rookie driver Caleb Starnes and Tyler Schoen complete the top 5.
Sam Petty survived a complete 360 spin out and held on to take the feature in the Midwest Modified division. Petty has had things going his way this season as Lebanon’s Travis Hill is looking for his first win while riding second in the standings.
Street Stock point leader Mark Simon placed the station-wagon back into the winners circle had has a 97 point lead over defending champ Joe Francis while rookie Brandon Henderson has drove to place only 12 points behind Francis as lady driver Karla Lampe and Matt Darnell completes the top 5 runners.
Grandstand gates open at 5 with hot laps to begin around 6:40 and racing to start at 7:30.
