(July 20, 2012) Greenwood, NE – Tyler Reddick and Brian Birkhofer each claimed two heat race victories Friday night, in Silver Dollar Nationals qualifying, and will sit on the front row for tomorrow’s $25,000 to win feature. Redddick, in his Boomquist Race Car, advanced from eighth to win his first heat of the night. Birkhofer, in his MB Customs Chassis, fired form seventh to win his second heat of the night. Other winners include, Jimmy Owens, Eric Wells, Steve Francis, Billy Moyer, Chris Simpson and Don O’Neal. Each heat race winner received $250 in Silver Dollars. Second place finishers each received $150, and third place finishers were paid $100.
Two B features will help fill out the remainder of the field Saturday. There will also be a non-qualifiers race courtesy of Al Belt Custom Homes. Hot laps will take place at 7:20 PM, with racing slated for 8:00 PM. USMTS Modifieds will also be on the card tomorrow evening.
