The stars of the Lucas Oil MLRA will storm into Wheatland, Missouri for Spring Thunder at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday! Making their first appearance of 2013 at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks, the bad boys of the premier Midwest Late Model tour are sure to put on a thrilling show. In addition to the MLRA, Pitts Homes USRA Modifieds and Carson’s Corner NAPA Factory Stocks will be in action for $750 to Win. A special thank you to Elite Auto Repair from Warrensburg, MO for providing the bonus pay for the Factory Stock’s.
The Lucas Oil MLRA opened their season last weekend at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE. Two nights of intense racing put Chris Simpson and Terry Phillips in Victory Lane. The series will turn up the heat this Saturday as the season is in full swing and the points battle is underway. John Anderson claimed the win at last year’s Spring Thunder and went on to take the 2012 Lucas Oil MLRA Championship title. Two provisionals are available for Lucas Cattle Company ULMA racers too. One provisional will go the highest finisher in overall points last year, not already qualified. The other will go to the highest in last year’s track standings, not already qualified.
Pick up a copy of the April Souvenir Program on Saturday to get a preview of the 2013 Lucas Oil MLRA season including information on special incentives and contingency programs for the series. Special limited edition 25th Anniversary Lucas Oil MLRA t-shirts will be available in the Track Treasures Gift Shop, grab yours while they last!

Saturday night will also include many great attractions and activities for the entire family at Lucas Oil Speedway. The first 500 fans through the gate will receive a FREE 2013 Schedule Magnet. A driver autograph session will take place before hot laps with the Lucas Oil MLRA drivers. Tim Seebold and others will have their US F1 Powerboats on display and also be available for photos and autographs. Plus many great weather related displays and demonstrations. Southwest Missouri Regional Skywarn Weather Spotters will be on hand sharing their knowledge and special weather tips. Stewart Concrete will have a storm shelter unit on display with staff present to answer any questions.
