Dreams Come True at Highland Speedway Saturday Night for One Special Leaps of Love Young Man!

Christopher 3HIGHLAND, IL (JUNE 30, 2013) Mother Nature finally gave us a break and allowed us to have a great night of racing action.Ā  It was a wonderful night where dreams came to life for Christopher, an awesome young man.Ā  Christopher met promoter Scott Kuhn years ago at the Richard Petty Driving Experience.Ā  Last year Christopher came out last year for Leaps of Love Night and instantly became a part of the Highland Speedway family.Ā  This year our Leaps of Love event was unfortunately rained out, however the kids enjoyed meeting the drivers and spending time with them during the storm talking, playing games, and Christopherā€™s family made the trip back to Highland Speedway Saturday night to see some racing action.Ā  Racing has been a life long dream for Christopher.Ā  His dream seemed impossible to reach because of physical limitations that are beyond his control.Ā  Saturday Night the Highland Speedway crew found a way to overcome the obstacles and fulfill his dreams with the help of some Highland Speedway racers.Ā  Shannon Kuhn came out in his Late Model and SportMod drivers Lance Deiters, Billy Knebel Jr, Rob Lee, and Steve Stevenson came out to race against Scott Kuhn and Christopher in the Highland Speedway ride car.Ā  Christopher took the checkered flag and celebrated in CC Food Marts Victory Lane with the Highland Speedway crew.Ā  It was an exciting race and truly an amazing experience to be part of helping make this young manā€™s dream come to life.Ā  Christopher had an amazing night of racing and a ringside seat with his family for the entire race spending the entire night on the infield.Ā  It was an action packed night with the UMP B-Dry SportMods double features, Daum Insurance Outlaw Micros, UMP Hamel Coop Street Stocks, and UMP Sammieā€™s KidModz, 65 cars ready to race.Ā  There was no Pick 3 winner this week, the Pick 3 will return on Saturday, July 13, 2013 with a $200 jackpot.

The night started out with the UMP B-Dry Solution SportMod makeup feature from June 15th.Ā  The field was set with 21 cars.Ā Ā  Jeremy Thoele took the checkered flag in the UMP B-Dry SportMod Feature and headed to the CC Food Mart Victory Lane, with Steve Stevenson and Jake Hewitt not far behind.Ā  The UMP B-Dry Solutions SportMods had a great night of racing with a full field of 25 cars racing at Highland Speedway.Ā  Jeremy Thoele took the checkered flag in the first heat of SportMods followed by Jake Hewitt and Ryan Timmons.Ā  The second heat race had excitement with Steve Stevenson taking a wild ride, airborne on the back straight away, he managed to safely land.Ā  Steve Ellison took the checkered flag in the second heat race race followed by Billy Knebel Jr. and Jeff Yates.Ā  Shaun Horstmann took the checkered flag in the third heat race followed by Rob Lee and TJ Eilers.Ā  Tony Stinde took the checkered flag in the Consi followed by Chuck Johnson and Mark Stolle.Ā  Rob Lee took the checkered flag in the UMP B-Dry SportMod Feature and went to the CC Food Mart Victory Lane, with Chris Smith inching by Billy Knebel Jr for second place.Ā  It was a great night of exciting racing action.

The Daum Insurance Outlaw Micros had a great night of racing with a field of 20 cars racing at Highland Speedway.Ā  Kevin Horcher took the checkered flag in the first heat of Micros followed by Tad Roach and Jeff Pierce.Ā  Carlee Gress took the checkered flag in the second heat race followed by Ryan Mueller and Tyler Vantoll.Ā  Joey Wirth took the checkered flag in the third heat race followed by Matt Ponder and Jeremy Zumwalt.Ā  Jeremy Zumwalt took home the checkered flag in the Daum Insurance Outlaw Micro Feature and celebrated in the CC Food Mart Victory Lane, with Matt Ponder and Carlee Gress not far behind.

The UMP Hamel Coop Street Stocks had a great night of racing with a field of 16 cars racing at Highland Speedway.Ā  Austin Isaak took the checkered flag in the first heat of Street Stocks followed by Gary Jones Jr and Trevor Isaak.Ā  Jacob Rexing took the checkered flag in the second heat race race followed by Dustin McClintock and Adam Koch.Ā  Austin Isaak took home the checkered flag in the UMP Hamel Coop Street Stock Feature and went to the CC Food Mart Victory Lane, with Jacob Rexing and Trevor Isaak not far behind.

The UMP Sammieā€™s KidModz continue had a field of 4 cars.Ā  Ryan Hamilton took the checkered flag in the KidModz heat race followed by Zane Ulmer and Blake Bailey.Ā  The UMP Sammieā€™s KidModz feature ran during intermission, Zane Ulmer took home the checkered flag followed by Blake Bailey and Ryan Hamilton.Ā  Insane Zane has dominated the CC Food Mart Victory Lane in the KidModz class this season.

Saturday, July 6th the Summer Nationals Hell Tour roars into Highland Speedway.Ā  CHS is proud to present this exciting night of racing action featuring $10,000 to Win UMP Late Models, $1,000 to Win UMP Summit Modifieds, and $300 to Win UMP Hamel Coop Street Stocks.Ā  Summer Nationals always brings out some of the best drivers in the Midwest and is always an awesome show.Ā  This is the largest paying race that Highland Speedway has held ever held and we are proud to be able to bring it to our fans and to Highland Speedway.Ā  Pits Open at 3:00 pm, Grandstands Open at 5:30 pm, Pill Draw by 5:45 pm, Drivers Meeting at 5:45 pm, Hot Laps at 6:00 pm, Qualifying at 6:30 pm, and Racing starts at 7:00 pm.Ā  Box Seats are $30.00, General Grandstand Admission is $28.00, kids 10 and under are free with a paid adult admission.Ā  Pit Passes are $35.00 and pit passes for kids 10 and under are $15.00 (Kids in the pits must have parental supervision at all times.)
