BCS14Logo-01Belleville, IL – Belle-Clair Speedway is proud to announce that the TTG Budweiser 100 Presented by Big R Rural King of Swansea, Illinois is scheduled for Friday, August 7th. This event will honor Mike Meurer, also known as “TTG,” with a $2000 to WIN Kettler & Son’s UMP Late Models 100 lap feature, with the possibility of $3500 to WIN due to lap sponsors. Belle-Clair Speedway would like to thank Joe Krump at Grey Eagle Distributing, Levi Jones at Big R Rural King in Swansea, Illinois and the individual lap sponsors for their support of this event. All other classes will be racing standard laps for standard purse.

Mike Meurer, “The Talker Guy,” known by many as TTG, was the pivotal voice at both Belle-Clair Speedway and the Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55. Passing away unexpectedly in 2012, Mike left an unfillable hole in the hearts of many. Countless racers and fans in the Saint Louis area grew up listening to Mike announce, his voice unforgettable and remembered by locals and out of towners, alike. Belle-Clair Speedway is asking fans to wear purple on Friday night in honor of Mike, as purple was Mike’s favorite color shirt to wear on race night. Also, as is tradition for the TTG 100, there will be a Meet & Greet before the races with some of the Saint Louis area veteran stock car drivers. Names will be released later on, so stay tuned for updates.

Previous TTG 100 winners include: 2001 Don Klein, 2002 Frankie Martin, 2003 Dean Hoffman, 2004 Mark Voight, 2005 Randy Korte, 2006 Mark Gansmann, 2007 Brent Kreke, 2008 Ed Dixon, 2009 Michael Kloos, 2010 Bobby Dauderman, 2011 Randy Korte, 2012 Mark Voight, 2013 Matt Taylor, 2014 Rained Out.
