Dennis-Erb-Jr(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb Racing followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on August 14-15 for the 23rd Annual ‘COMP Cams Topless 100.’ The popular national touring series once again presided over the roofless crown jewel spectacular and a whopping $40,000 payday was on the line. On Friday night during preliminary action, Dennis Erb, Jr. timed in nineteenth fastest in Group B during qualifying and later placed sixth in his stacked heat race.

After finishing fifth in his B-Main on Saturday evening, Dennis received a series provisional to gain access into the 100-lap main event. The Carpentersville, Illinois ace then started the ‘Topless 100’ from the inside of the twelfth row and despite drawing a lap 17 caution, he was able to salvage a solid top ten out of the weekend. At the checkers, Dennis was in the ninth finishing position and still sits seventh in the latest LOLMDS point standings exiting Batesville. Complete results from the weekend festivities at BMS can be viewed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

Next up on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series grind will be a visit to Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana on Saturday night, August 22. The single-day ‘Whiskey City 50’ will boast a $10,000 winner’s check. The cameras of the Lucas Oil Production Studios will be on hand to tape the dirt-slinging action for broadcast on MAVTV and NBC Sports Network later in 2015. Dennis finished eighth in the 2014 version of the ‘Whiskey City 50’ at Lawrenceburg. Additional information can be obtained by clicking on www.lucasdirt.com.
