Macon, IL (June 17, 2023) – Zach Daum continued his domination of the Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series Saturday night, scoring his third consecutive win with the series and fourth overall.

Daum was victorious earlier in the evening as he nabbed another heat race victory, along with Steven Russell and Will Armitage. Heading into the A-Main redraw, Steven Russell was the night’s high-points driver, allowing him to be the first driver to find his A-Main starting spot, which he drew the pole. Daum found the second spot, which turned out to be the perfect place to want to start on the ⅕-mile oval.

As the field of 20 rolled to the green, polesitter Steven Russell, who was victorious on Friday at Jacksonville Speedway jumped to the early lead quickly, with Daum in tow around the high-side of the bullring.  Daum sat back as Russell had to work through lapped traffic and planned the right time to overtake the #1JR machine in the top spot. Daum set his McGarry Motorsports #31 on the top-side of turns one and two and powered back Russell in lapped traffic.

Daum proved that his experience of driving many different types of race cars at Macon Speedway over the years paid off once more as he held off Steven Russell, Chris Urish, Bret Tripplett and Jake Neuman, who charged forward ten positions from his 15th-place starting spot to round out the top five.

The Morrow Brothers Ford MOWA Sprint Car Series returns to action in a joint event with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Cars at Fairbury Speedway for the Bill Waite Classic next Saturday June 24.
