I-55 Raceway ready for big 2011 racing season!

Pevely, MO (March 6, 2011) – I-55 Raceway in Pevely, MO is set to kick off another exciting season of racing on the high banked 1/3 mile clay oval that features some of the best side-by-side racing each and every Saturday night beginning the end of March and going through early October. Racing at I-55 Raceway kicks off with the huge 3 day UMP DIRTcar Roundup event March 24th – 26th. Thursday, March 24th will be an open practice for all competitors, then the action kicks off on Friday, March 25th with all eight UMP DIRTcar divisions in competition. Then on Saturday, March 26th, the UMP DIRTcar Roundup will wrap up with any necessary last chance qualifiers and big money feature events for all eight UMP DIRTcar divisions including Super Late Models, Modifieds, Pro Crate Late Models, Sportsman, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks, Factory Stocks and Sport Compacts. On Saturday, April 2nd, I-55 Raceway will kick off their regular weekly racing season with their normal four divisions competing (UMP DIRTcar Late Models, UMP DIRTcar Modifieds, UMP DIRTcar Sportsman and UMP DIRTcar Sport Compacts (Pro 4 Stocks)).

Lots of special events highlight the 2011 schedule, on Saturday, April 16th, the World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series brings the “Greatest Show on Dirt” to the high banks of I-55 Raceway. UMP DIRTcar Modifieds will join them with a $1,000 to win special event. The Northern Allstar Late Model Series will invade I-55 Raceway on Saturday, June 4th with the $5,000 to win third leg of the Tri-State Challenge. The UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals roll into I-55 Raceway on Saturday, July 2nd for a $10,000 to win event.

The World of Outlaw Sprint Car Series returns to I-55 Raceway on Saturday, August 6th for the 3rd Annual Ironman 55 featuring the longest event on the World of Outlaw Sprint Car schedule.

The MARS DIRTcar Series will roll into I-55 Raceway on Saturday, August 27th with a $5,000 top prize on the line. The Pepsi Nationals on September 17th will feature the World of Outlaw Late Model Series in a $10,000 to win event.

The 2011 season will wrap up on Saturday, October 1st with the 9th Annual AARA Fall Dirt Nationals which features a huge paying event for UMP DIRTcar Sportsman, UMP DIRTcar Factory Stocks and UMP DIRTcar Sport Compacts.

Along with all the special events listed above, I-55 Raceway hosts lots of great weekly racing action every Saturday night. Grandstand admission for the weekly racing events is just $12 with kids twelve years old and younger admitted free in the grandstands.
