(April 5, 2011) Buckner, MO – Friday night April 8 the Lucas Oil MLRA will make its first stop at Heartland Park Topeka’s HPT.com Speedway in 2011. After a great turnout at I-80 Speedway for the series season opener, two nights of racing action are slated for this weekend. Saturday night the series will travel to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for the track’s opening night.
HPT.com Speedway, located in Topeka, Kansas will open gates at 5:30 PM, hot laps will begin at 6:15 PM with racing action getting underway at 7:00 PM. Tickets for Friday nights event are just $15 for adults and $10 for children age 12 and under. HPT.com Speedway will also run Modifieds, B-Modifieds, Factory Stock and Pure Stock classes. Last weekend marked opening night in Topeka to 3,500 fans. Friday night looks to bring fans roaring back for more racing action! At the last two Lucas Oil MLRA appearances in Topeka, the 74 of Jeremy Payne captured feature wins. Payne will return Friday night, looking to make it three in a row at HPT.com Speedway. Saturday night is Lucas Oil Speedway’s opening night. Gates will open at 5:00 PM with hot laps at 6:30 PM, racing at 7:00 PM. Adult Admission at the gate will be just $20 with Seniors and Active Military only $15. Juniors (6-15) will be $5 and Kids 5 and under are always FREE at Lucas Oil Speedway. Pit Pass pricing is set at $30. Family Passes are priced at only $40 for this event, which includes entry for two adults (age 16 and up) and up to three youth (ages 6-15), discounts on kids meals, gift shop merchandise, and funnel cakes.

Al Purkey 2010 Lucas Oil MLRA Champion captured his first Lucas Oil Speedway win last year when the series traveled to Wheatland in April. Dave Eckrich of Cosgrove, Iowa finished 3rd in Lucas Oil MLRA points last season and captured his first ever series win at the Diamond of Dirt Tracks last August.
