MLRABilly Moyer passed polesitter Jesse Stovall on lap 5, and led the remaining 25 laps to score his 37th career Lucas Oil MLRA win Friday night at West Plains Motor Speedway. . In AAA Missouri Victory Lane, Moyer talked about his early pass for the lead on Stovall. “He just overcharged the corner there a little bit. I just ran a little lower than he did.”

Moyer encountered lapped traffic late in the race as the final 11 laps were contested caution free. “It was going to get interesting there it looked like,” stated Moyer. The championship battle isn’t much clearer after tonight’s race. John Anderson finished 7th, after he and David Turner got together coming off turn four. Terry Phillips was also in the wreck. Turner and Anderson continued on, Phillips retired for the evening. Al Purkey was the 9th place finisher, and is now down 4 points to Anderson with the final race of the season Saturday.

Heat race wins went to John Anderson, Jack Sullivan, Jesse Stovall and Billy Moyer Jr. Racing begins Saturday at 7:30 PM, with hot laps scheduled for 7:00 PM.
