Lucas Oil Late Model SeriesSeaford, Delaware (04/11/12) – As he contends for rookie of the year honors this season on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) Austin Hubbard is going to a lot of unfamiliar tracks for the first time. However, this weekend will not be one of those occasions as he enters the $25,000-to-win, 3rd Annual Commonwealth 100 at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Virginia), a track where he has turned more laps than just about anywhere else.

“Virginia Motor Speedway has always been a special place for me. I’ve won several races there, and big half miles fit my driving style. Over the past few years Bill Sawyer and Virginia Motor Speedway have been a sponsor on my car, and I can’t thank them enough for their support. It’s been a tough start to the year for us with mechanical issues at the past few events, and we are hoping to get things back on track this weekend,” notes Hubbard.

This weekend, April 13th-14th, Austin will pursue the $25,000 payday in the 3rd Annual Commonwealth 100 in his #11 Hubbard Motorsports/Rocket/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model. The event is being sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). Friday will be headlined by time trials and heat race action, while Saturday’s event will see b-mains and the 100 lap finale on the big, 1/2 mile. For more information on the event, please visit www.VirginiaMotorSpeedway.com and www.LucasDirt.com.

Austin has brand new shirts that will be available this weekend at Virginia Motor Speedway. They can be viewed in the Merchandise section at www.AustinHubbard.com .
