(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) Grayson, Kentucky Dirt Late Model standout Josh McGuire picked up his first win of the young 2012 racing season on Friday night, April 20 at the Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio! Josh won his heat race in preliminary action, which lined him up starting seventh on the grid in the 25-lap feature event. The driver of the U. S. Steel #41 MasterSbilt machine stormed towards the front of the field early and eventually wrestled the top spot away from Eddie Carrier, Jr. on the nineteenth circuit. Josh then held off Carrier’s late race charge to record the exciting $2,000 victory over Carrier, Rod Conley, R.J. Conley, and Billy Gullion! “It was an awesome race last Friday at Southern Ohio and it felt great to beat Eddie, Jr.,” exclaimed McGuire earlier this week. “That doesn’t happen all too often, but our car was really fast during the feature. Hopefully the track is in that good of shape for the $6,000 to win show this upcoming weekend.
