Batesville, Arkansas (5/16/12) – It’s not been the start to the 2012 campaign that Billy Moyer Jr. had been hoping, but on Saturday night he got things on the right track by piloting his #21jr Henderson Motorsports/Car City/Imperial Motors/Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Pro Power Racing Engine Super Late Model to the feature win at Crawford County Speedway.
Billy entered a single event over the weekend and made the most out of the outing by claiming his first feature win of 2012 on Saturday night at Crawford County Speedway (Van Buren, Arkansas) in COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Model action. Twenty competitors registered for battle, and Moyer Jr. began his night by winning the first heat race to earn the New Vision Graphics Pole Position for the 35 lap feature. He would grab the lead at the drop of the green flag, and never looked back on his way to the $2,000 win, which came over Jon Kirby, Jack Sullivan, Brandon Smith, and Kyle Beard. This weekend, May 18th-19th, Billy will enter the inaugural Bad Boy 98 at his home track, Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas). The unique event will reward the winner with a $10,000 check and a brand new Chevrolet Camaro, while a lucky fan will win a Ford Mustang. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) sanctioned event gets underway on Friday night with time trials and heat race action, while Saturday’s program will be headlined by b-mains and the 98 lap finale.
