DIRTcar Summer Nationals(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) The Wendell Wallace Autosports team racked up their third feature victory of the 2012 racing season on Friday night, June 8 at the Malden Speedway in Malden, Missouri! Wendell Wallace won his heat race in preliminary action at Malden and later started the 35-lap Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) main event from the outside of the front row. The Batesville, Arkansas hotshoe then led the feature on two separate occasions prior to leading the final five circuits en route to the $2,000 payday. Wendell, who is the all-time winningest driver on the CCSDS tour, took home the win over Timothy Culp, Brandon Smith, Jon Mitchell, and Curtis Cook!

On Saturday evening, June 9, the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series took the #6m team to the Northeast Arkansas Speedway in Harrisburg, Arkansas for another $2,000 to win battle. Wendell rolled off from the inside of the fifth row in the 35-lapper and stormed to the front of the field to finish a strong runner-up behind only race winner Billy Moyer, Jr. Complete results from the CCSDS double-dip can be accessed online at www.compdirt.com.

“We had a pretty good weekend at Malden and Harrisburg,” stated Wallace this week via telephone. “With the Summer Nationals coming up, I wanted to come out of the weekend with no major issues and of course try to get a win or two. We accomplished that and we will head out on the Summer Nationals trail for awhile. With only one car right now, I just plan to run the series until we aren’t having any fun anymore or until we run out of equipment. Hopefully, the car remains in one piece and we can stay out on the road for awhile.”

Wendell and the #6m team are about to embark on the start of the UMP Summer Nationals tour. The month-long grind through the Midwest kicks-off tonight, June 13 with a $5,000 to win showdown at the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. While Wendell has not committed to running the entire “Hell Tour,” he does have plans to follow it through the first week at least. You can view the upcoming schedule for the #6m team below:

June 13 | Brownstown (IN) Speedway, UMP SN | $5,000 to win
June 14 | Kankakee County (IL) Speedway, UMP SN | $5,000 to win
June 15 | Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, UMP SN | $5,000 to win
June 16 | Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, UMP SN | $10,000 to win
June 17 | Wilmot (WI) Raceway, UMP SN | $5,000 to win
