(McCool Junction, NE) 8/11/12 – The top three finishers from Friday’s action at Junction Motor Speedway were the top three finishers, with a different winner Saturday. John Anderson started on the pole and led all thirty laps to score the victory in the Lucas Oil MLRA event. “We were pretty good in the heat and it got us a good starting spot,” said Anderson. “We had a pretty good car all weekend; I was just under the weather last night. I got a good night’s sleep and everything went well. All the guys worked hard and that’s why we’re here.” Anderson’s win is his fifth with the Lucas Oil MLRA series this season. His last win at Junction Motor Speedway came in 2008.

Jesse Stovall closed late, as the final seventeen laps were ran caution free. He finished in the runner up position both night’s. “It’s always good to finish up in the top three,” commented Stovall. “I feel like if you’re in the top three you’re in the hunt.”

Fresh off of a win the previous night, Kyle Berck flirted with the front, and got as high as second, before settling for third. “John had the best car and that was obvious,” stated Berck following the race. “Early on we thought we could run him down and deal with him. The longer the race went the worse we got.”

Four yellows slowed the race, none were for anything major. Heat race wins went to Jesse Stovall, Mark Dotson and John Anderson. Anderson ran the fastest lap in the feature as he clicked off an 18.1 early in the feature. Next for the Lucas Oil MLRA will be a Sunday race on August 19th at the Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, MO.
