Lucas Oil Late Model Series(GRAYSON, KENTUCKY) The Josh McGuire Racing (JMR) team celebrated in victory lane for the tenth time in 2012 on Saturday night, September 15 at the Skyline Speedway in Stewart, Ohio! Bolstering his impressive resume at Skyline, Josh McGuire captured his fourth ‘Harvest 50’ title over a stout field of competitors. In preliminary action, Josh laid down the fourth quickest lap during qualifying prior to winning the dash. After rolling off from the pole position in the 50-lap main event, Josh paced the field from green to checkers to claim the $5,000 triumph over Rod Conley, Eddie Carrier, Jr., Chris Garnes, and Tyler Carpenter. Full results from the 29th Annual ‘Harvest 50’ can be obtained by logging onto www.skylinespeedway.net.

“Everything just worked out perfectly for us all night,” commented the charismatic McGuire earlier this week. “We qualified well and then won the dash, which gave us the pole position for the feature. That is where you needed to be because the bottom groove was so dominant. If Rod (Conley) would have had that bottom, it could have been a different outcome, but things went our way. I have to thank everyone that supports our team and I am looking forward to the Jackson 100 this weekend!”

Josh and his #41 team will now turn their focus to the 33rd Annual ‘Jackson 100’ on September 21-22 at the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over the biggie at the 1/4-mile fairgrounds complex this weekend and a $20,000 top prize will be on the line. Qualifying will take place on Friday night, while action will really heat up on Saturday evening with heat races, consolation events, and the 100-lap feature event. Josh has been a fixture in recent years at Brownstown, as he has transferred into the last four ‘Jackson 100′ A-Mains.
