(CARPENTERSVILLE, ILLINOIS) Dennis Erb, Jr. and his #28 team closed out their 2012 racing season on November 16-17 at the Duck River Raceway Park in Wheel, Tennessee. The inaugural running of the ‘Deep Fried 75’ took place over the weekend and a $10,000 winner’s check was on the line.

On Friday night during preliminary action, Dennis timed in fifth quickest in his group during qualifying and later ran second in his heat race. When Saturday rolled around at DRRP, the Carpentersville, Illinois native started from the outside of the seventh row in the 75-lap feature event. Despite suffering a flat tire during the course of the unsanctioned race, Dennis battled back to finish fourth in the final rundown behind only winner Vic Hill, Ray Cook, and Walker Arthur. Full results from the ‘Deep Fried 75′ can be viewed online at www.duckriverspeedway.net.

With their 2012 campaign now in the books, Dennis Erb Racing deserves some time away from the racetrack following their rigorous 93-race season. In those events, Dennis racked up seven (7) feature wins, twenty-seven (27) Top Fives, and fifty-one (51) Top Tens. Dennis was also named ‘Winternationals’ Champion and ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ Champion following his exemplary work in the Sunshine State of Florida in February.

Of his seven trips to victory lane, four of them were high-profile wins worth more than $7,500. Dennis claimed $10,000 top prizes in a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series showdown at the East Bay (FL) Raceway Park on February 17 and World of Outlaws Late Model Series battles at the Volusia (FL) Speedway Park on February 23 and the Federated Raceway (MO) at I-55 on September 15. In addition, he also recorded a $7,500 win on the grueling UMP Summer Nationals tour on July 7 at the Clarksville (TN) Speedway.
