COMP Cams Super Dirt Series Opening Weekend Postponed

Comp Cams Super Dirt SeriesBeebe, Arkansas (04/11/13) – Officials with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Super Late Models have been forced to postpone this weekend’s scheduled season openers at Camden Speedway (Camden, Tennessee) and Riverside International Speedway (West Memphis, Arkansas. Following a brutally wet past few weeks in the area and over two inches of rain that has fallen in the area from Wednesday night into Thursday both tracks were forced to postpone the events.

“We’ve got one of the best line up of drivers we’ve ever had for our tour this year, and we are all itching to get things underway, but Mother Nature made that next to impossible for this weekend,” notes series president, Chris Ellis. “We’ll just look forward to visiting both tracks in June now.”

The doubleheader has been rescheduled for June 21st and June 22nd with Camden Speedway hosting a $2,000-to-win event that Friday night and Riverside International Speedway hosting their $2,000-to-win race on Saturday evening. Racers and fans please note that Camden Speedway is currently still trying to host their Saturday night event this weekend, which will include Sprint Cars. Please keep your browsers locked to www.CamdenRacing.com for more information.

The CCSDS competitors will now look to open their 2013 campaign on April 19th at Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) with a $2,000-to-win/$300-to-start event before moving to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Arkansas) on Saturday night for a $2,000-to-win/$400-to-start program.
