(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer and his #21 BMR team roared into the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on June 6-8 for the 19th Annual ‘Dirt Late Model Dream.’ The new expanded race format at the “Big E” kicked off on Thursday and Friday with Twin 25s. On Thursday night, Billy ran fourth in heat race action prior to advancing eight spots in the $2,500 to win main event on his way to a steady seventh place effort. At the hallowed high-banks on Friday evening, Billy took the win in his heat race, but was penalized two positions for allegedly jumping a start during the $5,000 to win feature event. The driver known as “Mr. Smooth” then posted a close third place finish in the 25-lapper behind only winner Dennis Erb, Jr. and runner-up Chris Madden.

Things really intensified on Saturday at the 1/2-mile facility, as a whopping $100,000 top prize was on the line in the ‘Dirt Late Model Dream.’ Billy finished fifth in his stacked heat race, but later retired from the B-Main on his way to a twenty-first place showing. Unfortunately, the Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer was unable to crack the starting grid for the 100-lap crown jewel extravaganza. Full results from the long weekend at Eldora Speedway can be accessed online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.

The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will now turn their focus to the annual ‘Clash at the Mag’ on June 14-15 at the Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. Sanctioned once again by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, the two-day showdown starts on Friday night with time trials and heat races. The consolation events and the 100-lap, $20,000 to win ‘Clash at the Mag’ will then headline the action on Saturday evening. Billy is always a factor when he pulls into Magnolia Motor Speedway, as he finished second in this race back in 2011 and seventh last year. You can learn more about the ‘Clash at the Mag,’ which will be taped for broadcast on three networks including SPEED, NBC Sports, and MAVTV, by logging onto www.lucasdirt.com.
