Tri-City Speedway(MUSCATINE, IOWA) The Birkhofer Racing team rolled into the LaSalle Speedway in LaSalle, Illinois and the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota from July 4-6 for a pair of high-profile races. On Thursday night at LaSalle, the UMP Summer Nationals tour roared into the 1/4-mile facility to sanction a $5,000 to win program. Brian Birkhofer timed in fourth quickest in his group during the qualifying session and later placed fifth in his loaded heat race. Following a B-Main triumph, Brian then drove past eight competitors during the 40-lapper on his way to a steady ninth place performance.

After a day off on Friday, it was off to Deer Creek on Saturday evening for the 34th Annual ‘Gopher 50.’ Brian qualified fifth fastest in Group A during World of Outlaws Late Model Series time trials and later grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the seventh row in the $11,000 to win A-Main, the Muscatine, Iowa ace eventually landed in the twelfth finishing position following the completion of fifty green flag laps. Complete results from both LaSalle and Deer Creek can be accessed online at www.dirtondirt.com.

Brian and his #15b team have two more big events on their calendar for the upcoming July 12-13 weekend in the states of Illinois and Iowa. On Friday night, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will preside over a $10,000 to win showdown at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois. Another $10,000 top prize will be on the line on Saturday evening when the team blasts into the 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa for a UMP Summer Nationals tilt.
