Randy Korte Flexes Muscle at Tri-City; Riggs Motorsports Readies for ALMS Double Dip

DIRTcar(HARRISBURG, ILLINOIS)  The Riggs Motorsports team and driver Randy Korte ventured to the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois from September 19-21 for a trio of $2,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Series showdowns.  On Thursday night, Randy won his heat race in preliminary action prior to finishing third in the A-Main behind only victor Bobby Pierce and runner-up Brandon Sheppard.  Following a rain-out of Friday’s program, Randy posted another podium finish in Saturday’s weekend finale.  The Highland, Illinois ace won his heat race once again and later claimed a strong runner-up performance in the feature behind only winner Bobby Pierce.  Complete results from the busy weekend at the St. Louis area facility can be viewed online at www.tricityspeedway.net.
 
Next up for the Riggs Motorsports team will be a pair of American Late Model Series (ALMS) programs in the states of Illinois and Indiana on September 27-28.  Randy Korte will tackle $2,000 to win shows on Friday at the Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois and on Saturday at the Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana.  Jason Riggs also plans to bring his Rocket Chassis to Haubstadt on Saturday to vie for the $2,000 top prize.  Additional information concerning these races can be obtained by logging onto www.americanlatemodelseries.com.
