NDRL - National Dirt Racing LeagueBloomington, Indiana (10/15/13) – Kent Robinson made his first-ever trip to Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway (Imperial, Pennsylvania) over the weekend for the 25th Annual Pittsburgher 100, which was sanctioned by the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Super Late Models, and he came away with a pair of solid runs.

Friday night’s program was highlighted by a $10,000-to-win race, which drew a field of 51 entries to the 1/2 mile oval, and via time trials Kent started 2nd in his heat race before racing to a 2nd place finish in his #7r JB’s Salvage/Rocket/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model, which locked him into the finale in the 9th starting spot. In the 50 lap feature Robinson raced to a 6th place finish behind race winner, Jason Feger, Josh Richards, Dale McDowell, Billy Moyer, and Eddie Carrier Jr.

Saturday’s big finale was headlined by a $25,000-to-win feature, and Kent Robinson enjoyed another great run in the 100 lap finale. Via preliminary action Kent earned the 16th starting spot for the $25,000-to-win, Pittsburgher 100. As the feature went green he began working his way forward through the pack, and quickly found his way into the top ten. As the race approached its latter stages Robinson took advantage of a restart to rocket into the 3rd position. He briefly pressured Billy Moyer for the 2nd spot before settling into a 3rd place finish behind race winner, Scott Bloomquist, Moyer.

The upcoming weekend, October 18th-19th, will see Robinson not racing anywhere, but he will resume action with double duty on October 26th as he chases a $5,000 payday in both the Super Late Model and Open Wheel Modified features during the annual Fall 50 at Florence Speedway (Union, Kentucky).
