NDRL - National Dirt Racing League(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) was in the pit area at the El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, Texas from January 24-26 for the inaugural ‘Battle at the Border.’ The National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) sanctioned all of the dirt-slinging action at EPSP and three feature events were held at the west Texas facility. Billy Moyer sported a fast racecar throughout the weekend and accumulated a pair of podium finishes and one additional Top Ten performance.

In the opener on Friday night, Billy laid down the quickest lap in his group during NDRL qualifying and later scored the victory in his heat race. After leading the first half of the 30-lapper from the outside of the front row, Billy crossed underneath the checkers second to finish an impressive runner-up behind only $3,000 victor John Blankenship.

The Batesville, Arkansas Hall of Famer was also on the podium in Sunday’s $5,000 to win ‘Battle at the Border’ finale. Billy ran second in his heat race and later nabbed a strong third place effort behind only winner Terry Phillips and runner-up Kent Robinson after forty green flag circuits in the main event. In Saturday’s $5,000 to win showdown in El Paso, “Mr. Smooth” moved past six competitors during the caution-free 40-lapper to salvage an eighth place outing. While Billy announced recently that he plans to defend his 2013 National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Championship when the 2014 point battle starts on February 28-March 1 at East Alabama Motor Speedway, his upcoming “Speedweeks” intentions are not so clear. Billy is likely to reveal his plans for Georgia and Florida in the upcoming days. Keep visiting www.BillyMoyer.com to view the latest schedule dates for the #21 team!
