NDRL - National Dirt Racing League(BATESVILLE, ARKANSAS) Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) officially started the defense of their 2013 National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Championship on February 28-March 1 at the historic East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama. The first points paying race of the ’14 NDRL campaign was the 17th Annual ‘Bama Bash,’ which boasted a $17,017 payday. On Friday night, Billy Moyer started his weekend at EAMS by laying down the second quickest lap in his group during qualifying prior to finishing third in his stacked heat race behind only prelim victor Chris Madden and runner-up Scott Bloomquist.

When the action really heated up on Saturday evening, Billy started the 75-lap main event from the inside of the fifth row. The Batesville, Arkansas ace unfortunately suffered a flat Hoosier tire on lap 51 and was forced to pit for new rubber. He returned to the speedway to salvage a tenth place effort in the caution-plagued ‘Bama Bash.’ Complete results from EAMS can be accessed by clicking on www.thendrl.com.

Two more NDRL battles await the #21 team this upcoming weekend (March 7-8) in the Volunteer State of Tennessee. The Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee will play host to the ‘Tennessee Tipoff Classic,’ which features two separate one-day programs. A $7,500 top prize will be on the line on Friday night, while Saturday’s weekend finale features a $12,500 winner’s check.
