Quad City Speedway Ready for 2014!

Quad City SpeedwayThe 2014 racing season at the Quad City Speedway is right around the corner and K&S Promotions is looking to make their third year promoting the track their best one yet.  The season begins Sunday, April 6th, with racing every Sunday until  Sunday, August 31st. Returning to action at the Quad City Speedway in 2014 will be the Eriksen Chevrolet Buick IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Weber Auto Group Street Stocks, 4-Cylinders, McDonalds Mod Lites, and U-Pull-A-Part/Cimco Engler IMRA Midget Lites.  There are many special events throughout the racing season with something for everyone.

The season kicks off on Sunday, April 6th, with the Inaugural Ray Guss Sr. Tribute Race, featuring the Eriksen Chevrolet Buick IMCA Late Models racing for a $2,000 top prize in a 40 lap main event. Also racing will be $700 to win IMCA Modifieds, $500 to win Weber Auto Group Street Stocks, and $200 to win 4-Cylinders. A rain date for this race has been set for Sunday, July 20th.

Sunday, May 4th, the cars and stars of the IMCA Late Model Deery Brothers Summer Series will make their annual visit to the Quad City Speedway for the Hershel Roberts Memorial. The Eriksen Chevrolet Buick IMCA Late Models will be running a 58 lap feature for $3,000 to win. Also racing will be the IMCA Modifieds, Weber Auto Group Street Stocks, and U-Pull-A-Part/Cimco Engler IMRA Midget Lites.

Memorial Day weekend will feature the IMCA Modifieds in the 21st Annual Gary Reinhart Memorial. Also racing will be the Eriksen Chevrolet Buick IMCA Late Models, 4-Cylinders, and McDonalds Mod Lites.

Fourth of July weekend will be a double main event featuring the 4-Cylinders division in the 4-Cylinder Clash II and U-Pull-A-Part/Cimco Engler IMRA Midget Lites running twin 25 features for the inaugural Kevin Doty Memorial. Also racing will be the Eriksen Chevrolet Buick IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, and Weber Auto Group Street Stocks.

The 9th Annual Ronnie Weedon Memorial will be Sunday, August 3rd, featuring the IMCA Modifieds. Also running will be the Eriksen Chevrolet Buick IMCA Late Models, Weber Auto Group Street Stocks, and McDonalds Mod Lites.

Sunday, August 17th, will be an historic night as the Illinois Vintage Racing Club will make their first ever visit to the Quad City Speedway as apart of Hall of Fame Night. Also racing will be the Eriksen Chevrolet Buick IMCA Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Weber Auto Group Street Stocks, and 4-Cylinders.

The season will wrap up with the 2nd Annual Ron Marks Jr. Memorial featuring the Weber Auto Group Street Stocks. Also racing will be the IMCA Modifieds, 4-Cylinders, McDonalds Mod Lites, and U-Pull-A-Part/Cimco Engler IMRA Midget Lites.

The McDonalds Mod Lites will also have two STARS Regional events, June 29th and August 10th, paying $300 to win.

In other off season news the Quad City Speedway became a founding member of Speedway Benefits giving grassroots race track across the country major buying power. QCS will also be apart of the Contingency Connection, presenting select drivers $1,000 gift certificate packets every Sunday night. The Quad City Speedway also joined the Quad City Chamber of Commerce and partnered up with the Quad City Mallards. Look for the Mallards to be at the track from time to time during 2014. Plus, many new advertising sponsors have come and other previous partners renewed.
