Eldora Speedway(PINCONNING, MICHIGAN) The Iron Motorsports team and driver Jeep Van Wormer traveled south to the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana on September 19-20 for the 35th edition of the ‘Jackson 100.’ Things kicked off on Friday night at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying. Jeep posted the tenth fastest lap in Group A during the time trial session, which lined him up starting fifth in one of the four heat races on Saturday.

In front of a packed house on Saturday evening, Jeep moved up to finish fourth in his heat race and later started the $20,000 to win ‘Jackson 100’ from the outside of the eighth row. After slipping over the banking early in the 100-lap grind, the Pinconning, Michigan native went down a lap to leader Scott Bloomquist and eventually pulled his ill-handling ride pitside to settle for a twenty-fourth place effort. Complete results from Brownstown can be accessed online at www.lucasdirt.com.

Following a hectic start to the month of September, the #55 team has elected to take the upcoming September 26-27 weekend off from racing action. They are slated to return to competition the following Saturday, October 4 at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The annual running of the ‘UMP Fall Nationals’ will take place at the “Big E” and Jeep will be gunning for the $5,000 top prize.
