Springfield, MO May 2, 2015 – Jesse Stovall of Billings, MO doubled up with the MARS series this weekend. Winning at Monett Speedway on Friday May 1st, Stovall repeated his win Saturday night at Springfield Raceway in Springfield, MO and pocketed another $2,000 for his efforts.

Jeremy Payne of Springfield, MO accumulated the most passing points from the heat races and sat on the pole for the 30 lap race. Payne would jump out front early and lead the first seven circuits until a high-flying Stovall would steal the lead on lap eight and never look back. Payne would battle with 2-time and defending MARS champion Tony Jackson Jr of Lebanon, MO for the runner-up spot for the next five laps. Jackson would hold on for second while Payne finished third in the final rundown. Jason Hughes of West Plains, MO and 2011 MARS champion Brad Looney of Republic, MO rounded out the top five.

Stovall drives a Black Diamond Race Car with a Scott Bailey Engine and is sponsored by Rushin Towing, Swaffords Amoco and Malvern Bank.

The MARS DIRTcar Series presented by Andy’s Frozen Custard will be back in action Saturday May 9th at Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, OK.
